The very best way to prepare canned new potatoes is to follow the recipe found at the bottom of this post. They are delicious, satisfying and affordable!

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR CANNED NEW POTATOES

  • Make sure to drain the water from the canned potatoes and use fresh tap water in the recipe.
  • Some canned foods can be more salty than others, taste before adding salt and pepper and also be careful if you have any issues with salt in your diet.
  • Try your potatoes with some other spices, you may find you might like things like cumin, thyme, rosemary or other delicious spices! Potatoes are like a blank canvas!
  • Do not give whole canned potatoes to a toddler as the small round potatoes could pose a choking hazard. Cut them or mash them up first.

What sweet people, very touching to see your thoughtful and gentle reminder to gift people who might need their spirits lifted around holidays. There are many elderly and waitresses who need a special life on holidays when they cannot be with family. A note signed by your family names does avoid awkward moments. I needed to locate information on how to kabob canned baby new potatoes. My family lived in Asia and could not find baby potatoes, we are Americans, at the commissary we found canned potatoes. I did not know what temperature. Without your recipes I would have broiled the potatoes. My mother used a rub of squeezed garlic in our garlic press with olive oil, rosemary and white pepper I prefer Hungarian Paprika.

also, with cost of living here in uk (no doubt around the world too) tinned veg is rather cheap - also we can get bake beans for 35p (as at todays date) so maybe a tray bake ..... tinned sausage, beans potato and veg might be a cheap filling meal for a family. Bring on these ideas. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
