1 toaster oven
1 toaster oven tray
1 toaster oven rack
- 4 strips bacon center cut, regular thickness is best
Set the rack into the tray.
Stretch the 4 pieces of bacon across the rack. Set aside.
Set the toaster oven on 400 degrees.
When the toaster oven is preheated, place the rack into the toaster oven.
Set timer for 9 minutes.
Check the bacon at 9 minutes and it should be done, allow longer if it doesn't look as crispy as you like. Remove the tray. Allow it to cool slightly. Remove the bacon with tongs or a fork and serve hot.
- Use regular thickness, center cut bacon for the best results.
- Thin bacon will cook more quickly, so check it sooner
- Thick bacon will take longer, check it often after the 9 minute mark.
- Grease accumulate in the bottom of the pan, be careful removing it from the oven because the grease will be hot and it can burn you.
- For great taste, add some spices or sugar to your bacon for great flavor!
- Line the tray with aluminum foil for quick clean up.
- Allow the grease to harden before trying to remove the aluminum foil to discard.
- Save the grease for cooking with later! Bacon grease adds terrific flavor to many dishes!
- If you do not have a rack for your toaster oven, no worries! Simply lay the bacon on aluminum foil and bend the edges up so that the grease will not drip out of the foil. Place the little foil tray you have made into the toaster oven.
