Equipment

  • 1 Rimmed Baking Sheet
  • 1 oven
  • tongs

Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper (for easy clean up). Place the rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 350.
  • Line the hot dogs up on the baking sheet allowing plenty of room for air to circulate between the hot dogs. Don't put more than 12 hot dogs on one baking sheet.
  • When the oven is preheated, place the baking sheet in the center of the oven and bake the hot dogs for 5-7 minutes.
  • If you enjoy a char on your hot dogs, you can put on "Hi Broil" for the last minute.
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot.

Notes

  • Start with a great hot dog!  All beef hot dogs are what I usually recommend.
  • It's important to remember that your oven will be a little different than mine and may cook faster or slower.
  • It's important to use an oven safe dish if you are not using the rimmed baking sheet. Use a dish that is large enough so that you can spread the hot dogs out some to allow the heat to circulate.
  • You can cook all of your hot dogs at once if you spread them out on the baking sheet a little bit.
  • PRO TIP: Be sure to steam your buns by removing the twist tie, flicking some water into the hot dog bun bag and then microwaving the entire bag of buns for 25 seconds
