  • Using your hands, mix the oil, seasoning and salt well.  Spread the french fries out so that they are not touching as much as possible.

  • Bake at 400 for about 18 minutes (refer to the package instructions for time and temp for your particular french fries)
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot

Notes

  • Cook your fries in small amounts, this allows the heat (in whatever form) to circulate around and completely cook the fries so that they turn out crispy!
  • If you crowd the fries, they will only be able to steam each other and then they will be soggy!
  • Make sure that if you are cooking your fries in the oven that you coat them well with oil and seasoning, this is what gives them a crispy crunch and good flavor.
  • If you like EXTRA crispy fries, allow them to bake just a few minutes longer.
  • Sweet potato fries are often cut into slimmer fries due to the density of the sweet potato, you'll have to be careful and watch them closely as they come to the end of their cooking time.
PRO TIP:  Remember that sweet potato fries are a little SWEETER than regular fries and this means that they work well with salty tastes, sweet dips and may NOT be what you like best with ketchup
