A Verse to Share

I've thought a lot lately about careless words and what they mean. A very long time ago, I heard Rush Limbaugh talking about a left leaning enemy of his who he was rampaging against for being careless with their words. "Words mean things", he said.

He is right. They do. During this age of communication like we have never seen before. It is instant and it lives forever on the internet (or it can).

For this reason, if no other, it is prudent to be careful with your words. I am as reckless as anyone and one day I will have to reckon with my own. I hope you are more careful than I.

Matthew 12:36

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
