I grew up on canned hominy with only butter the way my mom cooked it. I had a large can of gold hominy and thought I would branch out. I tried your recipe and doubled the ingredients. Let me tell you I nearly ate the whole thing in one sitting! I can't wait to make this again. Thank you

In the video you added vinegar but it wasn't listed in the written recipe. What does the vinegar do? Thanks!

Hi Janina, This recipe (and most with canned foods) is very versatile and you can add a little of this and that as needed. The vinegar gives this recipe a nice little added pop. You can give it a little splash (about 1 tsp) and see how it brightens up the flavors of the food).
