Best Storage Ideas That Will Organize Your Entire House

Guest Post by Wendy Dessler

Organization can be difficult when we live crazy lives. We go to work for about 8 hours a day, have to take care of children, make dinner, and go to the gym. On top of it all, we need time for leisure activities and relaxation to stay healthy.

Cleaning and organizing can be at the bottom of our to-do list. However, living in a tidy space relates to improving physical and mental health. It can decrease stress, help you eat better, and assist in your relationships.

Let’s take a closer look at how you can keep your entire house well organized.

The Kitchen

The kitchen can become messy quickly with the many gadgets and tools for cooking, ranging from pots and pans to kettles and coffee makers like described here. It can get chaotic quickly when you have a lot of stuff.

Think about installing an appliance lift, which neatly tucks away your smaller objects. You won’t have to keep them on the counter or fight to reach them. Just open the cabinet door and lift them out.

Another excellent organization tool is a slide-out rack that you can store your pots and pans on. Just pull it out, and they’re all there neatly arranged. No more dragging the whole lot out to find the one you want.

Don’t forget about your food products. Shelves inside doors are excellent for spices and can be easily added to existing cupboards. Find places to keep all types of food so that it doesn’t take up counter space. If needed, invest in boxes to keep things neat.

The Bathroom

Similar to the kitchen, the bathroom is filled with many small items and products. A lot of us tend to throw these into a drawer and forget about them, then after have a hard time finding the things we need.

Organize your drawers and cupboards by things you use often and less so. Have a space dedicated to hair care, another for facial products, and so on. A cupboard under the sink is a great place for cleaning products.

If you have items that you want to keep on or by the sink, you can invest in a simple shelf, which allows you to keep everything organized and without the risk of falling into the basin or on the floor.

The Bedroom

Our bedrooms are where we go to relax and unwind, and keeping it tidy is the perfect way to destress after a long day. Invest in a bed frame with built-in storage underneath. This is the ideal place to keep extra blankets or seasonal items.

Many of us keep our shoes on the floor, which can take up a lot of space. Buying a shoe rack or a place to tuck them away can make a room look and feel more organized in minutes.

In your dresser, you can place dividers for more storage. This helps to keep your clothes arranged better. You can have tops, shorts, skirts, etc., in their own space. It will make getting ready in the morning so much easier.

A laundry basket is a must to avoid dirty clothes piling up on the floor.

The Bottom Line

Being clean and organized makes your living space that much more enjoyable to be in. This also improves your mental and physical health, which is something we all should want.

Focus on the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom to begin with. Most importantly, once it’s organized, you need to keep it that way. You’ll soon get into a routine, and your home won’t look cluttered again.
